Art Day

Once per term, each class has a session (Lessons 3-5) with an artist creating something to do with their current topic. This time, we created beach huts to make a seaside display for our seaside topic.

First we glued lollipop sticks together to make our beach hut.





While our beach huts dried, we did sponge painting with gold paint to create our sand, and then painted some bunting, mixing white into our paint to create pastel colours. After lunch, when our beach huts were dry we painted these as well.




All three classes in Year Three did the same activity, using different colours to create some variation. This is our display:
