Seaside Day

As part of our "seaside topic" we have been looking at different activities that are available when we go to the seaside.  As a culmination of the topic, each class looked at a business in detail and prepared a twenty-five minute activity based on this. Each class then rotated around the activities during the morning.

"Seaside Games" featured traditional games you would play on the beach including hoopla, juggling,  volleyball and ball in the bucket! We were even able to borrow some sand and water trays from the MLD Unit to play in!

Another class made their own crazy golf obstacles which was great fun to try.

We also made sandwiches, made surfer dudes, and created seaside murials before heading into the hall to perform our own Punch and Judy plays to the other classes.

At lunchtime the school canteen put on a seaside special - Fish and Chips with ice cream for pudding. Part of the excitement was that this was eaten in "proper" fish and chip containers rather than our usual trays!
